Sheepskin for Footwear — Shoe Lining & Boot Inner
Genuine sheepskin is one of the most functional lining materials available for footwear. The wool fibers naturally wick moisture away from the foot, keeping the interior dry during wear. At the same time, the natural crimp of the wool creates air pockets that insulate in cold conditions and allow ventilation in warmer ones — a thermal regulation property that synthetic linings cannot replicate.
The leather back is soft and flexible, conforming to the last without resistance, and does not crack or stiffen with repeated use. Wool pile height can be specified short (1–3 cm) for a close fit inside the shoe, or medium (3–5 cm) for boots and slippers where a warmer, more cushioned feel is preferred.
Typical applications: Boot lining, slipper upper, shoe insole, moccasin inner, children’s footwear lining
Recommended spec: Leather thickness 0.6–0.8 mm · Wool length 1–5 cm · Natural white or custom Pantone
