Our cotton backed dressage pads have a pure Australian merino lambswool liner. This is the softest concussion absorbing, wicking, anti-friction material for pads. We use an intermediate sheepskin thickness that doesn’t create a lot of bulk under the saddle, but that the horse responds well to. The open spine on the underside results in a more contoured fit with the shape and angle of the saddle panels, and offers additional vertical and horizontal spinal clearance. Pressure testing has proven that this is a very important feature which eliminates contact with sensitive paraspinal tissues.

VERY IMPORTANT: Wash in cold water with a gentle sheepskin wash, and air dry out of the sun. Warm water and drying the wet hide in the sun will damage the hide.
